This tour will introduce you to the skills required to ascend and descend steep terrain safely. Lean rope techniques and equipment use that can help you move up and down more committing terrain with confidence.
This is a one day course that runs locally that will introduce you to the above skills.
The focus of this course is to introduce you to the equipment and techniques that can aid in moving into steeper more serious terrain. As this is the focus of the course the day is spent working on rope techniques including anchor building, rappelling, lowering and basic rescue skills. Crevasse rescue skills are also covered it requested.

Prerequisites for this course?
ToYou should be a confident skier in backcountry ski conditions and comfortable in terrain up to 40-45 degrees
This course requires you to travel on touring skis or split board.
Technical equipment is provided if you don't have any.
You need to love to ski!

This course is running in December on a weekday. Specific date TBA depending on snow conditions. We have one more spot to fill for this custom course that will drill into the specific ski related rope skills from lowering, rappelling and cliff / crevasse rescue.
You will also get the chance to strap on the crampons and start climbing for your turns!
